Mr. Canche was born in McAllen, Texas and was raised in both McAllen and San Antonio Texas. He graduated in the top 1% of his class from Converse Judson High School, where he also excelled in sports and civic involvement. After graduating from High School he attended Baylor University on scholarship and was recognized throughout his college experience as a Distinguished Student. Mr. Canche pursued a rigorous pre-med, pre-law curriculum and graduated with degrees in Economics and Chemistry and minors in English and Religion. Upon graduation, he was awarded an award for The National Dean's List, a distinction only a few hundred graduates throughout the country receive. His fellow peers also recognized him as a Distinguished Gentleman of Baylor, an award that given to outstanding individuals based on their academic, civic and social excellence.

Immediately upon graduation, Mr. Canche attended South Texas College of Law where he was a member of the ABA-law student division and participated in South Texas' renowned civil advocacy curriculum where he studied under the Honorable Dan Downey. He clerked for the Honorable Dori Contreras-Garza on the Thirteenth Court of Appeals, clerked for the Harris County Attorney's Office and worked for a select group of law firms in Houston where he focused on mostly business litigation, employment law, family law, and securities. At South Texas, he published numerous papers, including papers on Loving v. Virginia and informed consent in the military. Upon graduation, Mr. Canche worked for a local firm in Houston where, within a few months of being licensed, won several trials for Fortune 100 Companies.

Mr. Canche is heavily involved in philanthropy. He is on SEARCH's Young Ambassador's Executive Board, is on the Best Buddies of Texas Advisory Board, is on the Houston Grand Opera Guild, and the Rienzi Society for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. He is a member of the Young Professionals Against Child Abuse, the Houston Jaycees, the Houston Chamber of Commerce, the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the exclusive Matrix Society. Mr. Canche is also a volunteer at other local charities including The March of Dimes, KIPP Houston, and TAASA.

Mr. Canche is also an active member of the Texas Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Houston Young Lawyers' Association and the Texas Young Lawyers' Association. He is licensed to practice by the Supreme Court of Texas. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
